The Urban Research Group at the Department of Public Policy is recruiting a new postdoctoral fellow in urban studies, to start from 1 March 2016. This is an exciting group that has attracted strong post-doc researchers, one of whom was Dr Sin Yee Koh who completed her PhD in my department (I was her review supervisor). Sin Yee is now an assistant professor at the Institute of Asian Studies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Their current postdoctoral fellow is Dr Julie Ren, another excellent researcher whose PhD thesis (I was her external examiner) was a great comparative study of art spaces in Berlin and Beijing. They are looking for someone to work on their on-going projects on everyday life and China’s urbanisation.
