As we approach the end of 2024, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who have kindly and generously reached out and supported me.
This year has been particularly challenging for me and for my family, and the complexities of ongoing geopolitical and domestic political affairs do not make the future of our world any brighter. However, I felt fortunate to be surrounded by friends and colleagues who went above and beyond to support me and my wife.
I should also add that as Department Head, the goodwill and collegiality within LSE Geography & Environment have also been truly inspiring, and I feel privileged to work alongside such a committed and compassionate group of colleagues.
